Girls' Roadtrip to KU

On October 11th, Gram, Aunt Jan, and I took a roadtrip to Lawrence to visit my sister Shelly. The drive was awesome as the leaves were displaying their beautiful Fall color, and our visit was short but fun! We toured Shelly's apartment, met her roommates, and took her to lunch at 23rd Street Brewery. We also squeezed in some shopping, drove thru campus, and got dessert before dropping her back at home. She is doing great at KU, despite killing herself this semester with 19 hours of physics, economics, and the like. Have I mentioned how thrilled I am to have her so close now after seeing her about once a year since she was 6 years old?! THRILLED!!!

Mitzi is 2!

Mitzi turned 2 on October 7th, so once again we had the neighbor kids over for cupcakes after school. Since dogs can't have chocolate, I made white cake just so that Mitzi could have one - which she devoured! The kids all had a great time singing to her, and she even got a present from her little friend Cocoa, Haley and Sterling's teacup Yorkiepoo!
